6am Repeat is a recurring feature here at Folk Hive in which we stream the latest track that plays incessantly in the earbuds when we awake at that hour and imbibe massive amounts of coffee and cigarettes in preparation for the advancing day.
I often wish, in my sleep, for a voice that would enable me to sing away. My voice against the backdrop of accordions and pianos and harmonicas, making others wish in their sleep that they too had a voice with which to sing. If I could have that voice, I’d be more than contented with one that resembled that of Nona Marie Invie. No coincidence that the lovely lady’s last name is a homophone, I think.
