Bella Ruse

6am Repeat is a recurring feature here at Folk Hive in which we stream the latest track that plays incessantly in the earbuds when we awake at that hour and imbibe massive amounts of coffee and cigarettes in preparation for the advancing day.

I’m having a fight with America this morning — the relationship I have with her is certainly complicated.  My county gave our Rep. seat to a home economics teacher instead of the man we’ve been letting run it for over 30 years.  Though he’s a Democrat in a strong Republican area, he’s brought thousands of jobs here via our army base and is actually a pretty conservative member of my party.  Despite his strong work for this county (nearly everyone here admits that our huge growth can be, for the most part, attributed to him) he’s being replaced; I’m stunned that people here will consistently piss on their own economic interests.  In short, fucking morons.

That aside, I should send Bella Ruse a thank you note for improving my mood this am.  Yeah, the song is clearly about being all lovey-dovey (sidenote: gross) but we’ve got simple guitar jams, familial singing, and a fucking typewriter used for tune making.  Fucking hell, brilliant.
