If today’s country radio contained more of this brand of jams and less of say, Keith Urban and fucking Kenny Chesney, I might actually listen to it. If country radio placed more stock in muscianship instead of working so hard to be the conservative alternative to Top 40 radio, then I might listen to it. If country radio played a band like The Breakmen every now and then, I’d certainly listen to it. There just isn’t enough mellow Americana out there these days…unless you’re willing to dig for it in Canada, apparently…
