6am repeat :: roadside graves // ‘love me more’

6am Repeat is a recurring feature here at Folk Hive in which we stream the latest track that plays incessantly in the earbuds when we awake at that hour and imbibe massive amounts of coffee and cigarettes in preparation for the advancing day.  Consider it your jam of the day — a sweet, sweet gift from me to you.  I love you, dude.

Ya’ll, what an absolutely delightful ditty about not being loved enough!  Listen.  If you’re a band that puts out jams like this one (and my personal fave, ‘Far and Wide’) and THEN you title an album If Shacking Up Is All You Want To Do, I’m probably gonna dig your shit.  Throw in a fiddle and a bit of slide guitar here and there and, well…fuck.  I’ll love you forever.

FYI: Roadside Graves releases We Can Take Care of Ourselves via Autumn Tone (one of my favorite labels) on 19 July.  Keep that shit on your radar.
